From Macedonian Mountains to American Dreams: A Woman's Odyssey

We all have stories worth sharing of joy, love, and happiness, and of pain and sorrow. Often, the things that we take for granted in each other are rarely discussed and fade from our memories. Often too late, we realize that there was much more to the memories that we wanted with our loved ones. Personally, I truly would have loved to have known more about my parents' lives and the lives of my grandparents, to the maturity of the state of mind that I am today.

For many years, I had been thinking about writing my autobiography, but I was afraid because English was my second language, I didn't consider myself smart enough; I was just too busy with life, raising our children, and being a wife, so I didn't have any time.

The other reason was that I was afraid what my parents are going to think, my brothers, my children, my husband, and my in-laws were going to think, and what about my grandchildren, are they going to like me or judge me? I wanted everybody to like me, and this came up many times as I was writing my book. "Fear Forget Everything and Runaway." I chose to Face Everything and Recover.
