Beginning in Berlin, Germany, From Lake Wannsee to the California Desert is my story as first told to me at a young age by my father. My family and I survived the horrors of World War II and later fled East Berlin during the "Cold War." As I grew older, my experiences being clearly edged into my mind, I am recounting these and more. My life took many twists and sometimes funny turns.
