Most little children are afraid of the dark. There is always a monster in the closet, something under the bed or something lurking in the shadows. "Mama can you leave the light on or the door open," they ask. That small light shining from the hall calms them into a peaceful sleep. Until they are awakened by a nightmare and scream for you to come running. When I screamed no one came, nobody but the darkness. I stepped into the darkness and unknown shadows of evil. I stepped into a black cloud of smoke that filled my lungs with so much pain I couldn't breathe, scream or even cry at times. How do I get out? How do I survive? I stepped into darkness, unseen evil all around me. A dying soul inside me.Broken by darkness longing to see the light.
