From Flying Carpet to Pulpit

I was born into a Muslim family in Esfahan, Iran, and raised in the city of Tehran, Iran. He came to the United States to attend college. The greatest events in his life were selling Persian rugs, among other items from Iran, for fifty years, and meeting the famous comedian Red Skelton when he came into our store two times and we laughed together with my family. We had never met a man with so much joy and so down to earth as him.
