The eldest of nine children, Peter Adnams was born within the sound of Bow Bells, affording him the status of a true cockney. Moving out of London in 1957 and living for many years in Romford, Essex, he was to spend the latter part of his life by the coast at Walton On The Naze, Essex. This book brings together some of his earliest memories, providing an insight into what it was like growing up in the years before and after World War II. Above all, it portrays the brilliance of family togetherness, which lives on with the many offspring of those original nine children. This closeness never ceases despite the generations now living across the world. Peter met an untimely death due to mesothelioma. But through this book, and the family tree, (www.adnamsonline.co.uk), his memories and The Adnams Family will never be forgotten.
