By Willette Alston

From addiction to achievement. From despair to destiny.

Willette Alston's life is a testament to resilience and grace. Once trapped in the grip of crack cocaine, she fought her way back to become a full-bird colonel in the U.S. Army.

Her journey spans the depths of addiction and the triumphs of military leadership, the heartbreak of loss and the healing power of love.
