From Coffee Bean to Mustard Seed

Have you ever sent a text message to a friend not realizing the effect it could have on others? Usually we hear of it happening in a negative sense. A couple of years ago, I sent a text message of some personal Bible study notes. That's it! I sent it to someone who had sent me an encouraging text message a few days earlier. What started off as a simple text about a mustard seed grew into a series of devotions over the span of a year that encouraged so many more than I ever imagined. As a matter of fact, I never imagined it at all. It had not even crossed my mind the expanse of outreach these devotions would have, much less that a book would be the result. Every morning, I grabbed my cup of coffee and my Bible and read. It was never a regular practice for me to jot down notes while studying. It was usually mental notes with an occasional pen to paper. But after I sent that first text message, it became a good habit. The devotions are in my simple and limited vocabulary trying to glorify an amazing God!
