By Glen Harrington

"From Baghdad to Washington: A Soldier's Journey"
In the midst of the Iraq War, Australian SASR Captain Midge Harrison celebrates his 28th birthday with his regiment and American soldiers in Baghdad. However, his life takes a drastic turn when he witnesses the brutal murder of an Iraqi woman at the hands of a CIA agent during a botched mission interrogation. The situation escalates when he discovers the bodies of his fellow soldiers, each with a single bullet wound to the forehead, and becomes the sole survivor.
Forced to flee, the protagonist escapes to the Australian embassy, only to be met with suspicion and hostility. With the help of Australian diplomat Robert Cook, he embarks on a perilous journey to clear his name and uncover the truth behind the murders. From the war-torn streets of Baghdad to the jungles of Colombia, the protagonist must use his military training and wits to stay one step ahead of his pursuers.
As he becomes embroiled in a web of corruption that reaches the highest echelons of power, the protagonist finds love with Monica, the daughter of an American senator. However, their relationship puts them in the crosshairs of a ruthless cartel boss, Philippi Manriquez, who will stop at nothing to get leverage over the senator.
The protagonist's journey culminates in a court-martial, where the senator's testimony ultimately clears his name and exposes the corruption. Will justice be served, or will the protagonist's quest for truth be in vain?
