This is a journal of some of the events that took place during the life of a middle class American son. It describes a rich life in the last years of the 1920's that preceded the economic crash and the Great Depression that forced our family to live on a defunct farm in near poverty. It follows the post Depression years in the north and then a move to the Gulf Coast of Florida when our lives were changed again by World War Two. A description of brief service and adventures in the USAAF is followed by five years of adventurous jobs in places like the Florida Everglades, waterfront construction, and flying. After college, a long career in the aviation industry is described with interesting vignettes, humorous incidents, the birth of the jet transport age, some aviation history, and a unique air show Clown Act.
