The third installment is here It's time to feed the frogs for a third time. However, they are hungrier than ever.

After surviving the second trial, Justin and the others head for 'The Temple of Hate' in Jayuya. Just the description sends shivers down their spine. It's getting close to nightfall and the men need to find a place to shelter. However, the cursed frogs and iguanas have become hungrier than ever.

The trek to the top of the hills in Jayuya will prove treacherous. For one of the crew members, his past will come back to haunt him as he tries to find the necklace of Taino love and return it. Also, the town of Jayuya has many skeletons from the past, some of which reveal the dark nature of Puerto Rico and its history. The Temple of Hate contains a magical force that is older than the existence of Ancient Rome. It's a force will change the game and raise the stakes in a big way, where one might lose their soul forever and never return, even as a spirit.

While the frogs and iguanas are deadly, they might not be the biggest threat. Is there a puppet master controlling everything?

I'm loving GameLit Horror

This book is available on KU Yep, I'm definitely going to need to find more GameLit Horror when I get done with this series. Like the previous book, this one picks up where the last left off. There's more killer frogs in this one than in the last one, and some new horrors to look forward to, as our heroes make their way to the third temple. We also learn more of the lore of the Taino as we discover more of Puerto Rico's darker history. There were slightly less errors in this one than the last two. But still a fair amount of them, which I'm told are being dealt with, so we'll leave it at that. While just as predictable as the others in this series, I still love the whole video game setup to it and I'm sure fans of GameLit and LitRPG will like the whole mechanics of the book, and the nostalgia certain things are sure to bring to the mind. I'm personally enjoying the character and world building that's going on from one book to the next, and look forward to seeing how this all ties together in the final book. I give this book 4 of 5 Paws.
