Search and Rescue dog trainer and amateur sleuth, Eve, is delighted when she is approached about giving a dog training demonstration at the Granite Rock Festival. Willow might be retired, but she'll enjoy one last big hurrah, and it will be a great chance for Duke, who recently got certified as a search dog, and Atlas, to show off their various skills as well.

While performing the demonstration, Eve notices some suspicious activity near the stall where Pete Oswald is selling his jerky. Hours later, Atlas discovers a body.

Later, it's discovered that someone sabotaged some of Pete's wares to try and shut him down and it's suspected that it's likely the same man who was killed. Everyone who knows Pete knows how passionate he is about his jerky business, making him an obvious suspect, but Eve is convinced he's innocent.
