I wanted to write this book because there are thousands of others like me that have to work at developing friendships. When we feel uncomfortable, judged or criticized, we walk out of the room and out of the friendship circle to a place all by ourselves. Isolation is a great insulator. It's the greatest tool the enemy of our soul uses for folks like us: isolation-intimidation-manipulation-domination. Once we have been isolated from our friends or family we are alone and vulnerable. Then we can be more easily intimidated and manipulated by things that should never even have influence upon us. After a long season of all of this, we become dominated by the wrong circumstances, surrounded by the wrong people and actively participating in things that are not healthy and don't bring life to us. It's a downward spiral that needs to stop. And part of the answer for me is what this book is about. We need friends4ever
