The information contained in this workbook is designed to assist people who are navigating the distress of tragedy or other traumatic loss, and is intended for use in conjunction with attending a First Responder's Fortification (FRF) Meeting. PLEASE NOTE: These are suggested steps for healing from the grief of tragedy or traumatic loss and are not a substitute for professional counseling or medical treatment if and where required or appropriate. If you feel a need for additional help, we strongly encourage you to consult a professional. The steps, topics, and scriptures presented in this program are tools for you to use in your healing process. Our First Responder's Fortification(TM) (FRF(TM)) is a trusted community of those hurting from trauma, hardship or deep loss; no matter how long ago it occurred. We come together to support and help each other heal by sharing our experience and encouragement. We have suffered anxiety and distress and are hurting as a result. We want to heal and regain a sense of hope for life. The source of our ultimate hope is God, and the principles for healing that He gives us in the Bible. We believe that through ongoing, practical application of these principles, we will find comfort, help and healing. Although FRF is based on Biblical principles, we are not exclusive to any denomination. And everyone grieving from traumatic experience or other type of loss is welcome, whether you believe in God or not. We are not politically connected in any way. FRF's sole purpose is to help those suffering the pain of traumatic experience and related loss. We do this by practicing the proven principles for healing, and by welcoming, accepting, comforting and encouraging those who are grieving.
