The Fresno City College Centennial Book is a collection of stories, personal essays and historic photographs that highlight the college history and events of the past century. Founded in 1910, Fresno City College is the first community college in California. The foreword was written by Gary Soto who attended Fresno City College in the early 1970s and went on to become a prolific writer, poet and college instructor. The cover art was provided by Rollin Pickford who is Painter Laureate of the San Joaquin Valley. It is titled, Old Administration Building, Fresno City College, 1968. His water colors have been exhibited internationally.
