Meridith McCarty has written a marvelous cookbook that satisfies various niches: it is a macrobiotic cookbook, but would also suit vegetarians who are not finding the peaceful energy that comes from balancing foods properly & cooking them according to methods used for thousands of years by our ancestors. How can you bake bread without yeast (which most of us are allergic to)? How do you cook esoteric grains such as quinoa, buckwheat & amaranth?
