As a Vietnam Veteran myself,I've taken upon myself to read what other Vietnam Veterans have delt with in Vietnam and back home after their service. Mr. Brewers book has a way of letting the reader know exactly what it looks like and feels like,as a combat veteran in Vietnam.His writting of the sights he seen while flying in a Huey toward the firebases are so real,i've experienced them myself.The fellowship between the fighting soldiers,known as the ''HERD''In the 173rd Airborne is of closeness and trust amoung young men that knew they could count on one another at anytime,and anywhere.No one can really know what young combat soldiers go through unless you were there.To beable to share stories and experiences one day and the next have your best friend ''Give All''.Mr Brewer is one of a kind Strong,Intelligent,and careing,anyone reading his book would feel this and know just how proud a youngman from New York,he is. One of the best books about a combat soldier i've read.A book that all young people should read and understand.
