If you like a good mystery with a twist, this is great. Who is guilty? Could be many.

Good story

Sandra Brown sends you along a path. You make the assumption of who the killer is, question what you're reading, then think, it's so obvious! Then you think, well if its that obvious it can't be! Then you think, well if it is so obvious it can't be, then it MUST be. but is it? Read it and find out. Claire and Cassidy take you on quite a tour of whodunnit. Throw in some romance and surprises along the way and you've got one heck of story.

Claire Laurent is the owner of French Silk, a New Orleans' mail order business that specializes in gorgeous lingerie. With the death of a TV evangelist, Claire could be next, or could she be the killer? District Attorney Robert Cassidy knew she wasn't telling him the truth about the murder, but as he investigates, he realizes that he has fallen in love with her. FRENCH SILK is wonderful and one of my favorite Sandra Brown novels - it's filled with mystery, romance and hot-steamy love scenes. It's a long tale, but you don't want it to end. I was so caught up in the story, that when it ended, I felt like family had moved on and there was an empty spot where they had been. Sandra Brown shows her expertise in drawing the reader into her mind. Get a cup of coffee or tea, curl up on the sofa, and ENJOY!

Believable and captivating-SB @ her best!

This book's intricately put-together plot provides the reader with enormous amounts of suspense. You'll never guess who the villain is and, even if you do, Sandra will made it so you change your mind a hundred different times on who did it. The plot was (suprisingly) believable, but interesting enough so that you wanted to keep reading. I definately recommend this book for anybody who loves books.

Very Interesting

I read the reviews from other readers before I purchased this book. I have to agree with everyone, the killer is someone I least expected. Throughout the book I thought I knew who it was but I was wrong. I really liked Cassidy as he tried desperately to help Claire even though she was always lying to him.

SANDRA... AT HER BEST !

After recently re-reading this book, I felt the need to urge others to read it too. If you like a mystery that keeps you guessing, a love story that sizzles, a leading lady who is as smart as she is sexy, and a hero who defines the meaning of the word - then this is the novel for you. Claire and Cassidy leads a cast of well-crafted characters, that will keep you eager to turn the page and find out what comes next. Unfortunately for us readers,(as with all Sandra Brown's books) the endings come way to quickly, and you have to shift your imagination into overdrive to keep the story going in your mind past the final chapter. "FRENCH SILK" is a fantastic read. Set against the colorful and captivating backdrop of New Orleans, Ms. Brown weaves a tale of mystery, suspense and an unforgettable story of romance and family loyalty. Claire will stop at nothing to protect her fragile mother from an unforgiving world, her best friend from the perils of loving a married man, and the company she founded from the ravings of a religious fanatic. Cassidy is her perfect match. He is looking to solve the case of the decade, and trap a cold-blooded killer - even it it means investigating the woman he could'nt help loving. Awesome Book! A must read by all suspense and romance lovers

This was the first book I read by Sandra Brown and was I hooked. I believe it is one of her very best works and I keep going back and re-reading again and again!!! I've read all of her books and she keeps the bestsellers coming! In French Silk, she brings a beautiful, lady-like lingerie business owner and a detective, a real man's man together yet apart. Wonderful plot twists and a surprising ending. Steamy passion scenes and pulse pounding page turns makes this an awesome read. I couldn't put it down!!!! I read the book in one night!!!!
