Very good book on French Idioms

This book is not to be used as a French dictionary. It is a book that lists hundreds of French idioms that you may not find in a dictionary. The worse part of the book is the small print. Brandon Simpson

comprehensive

This book really is extensive in its breadth. It can actually be daunting as a learning tool. As a reference however it's great. If you're looking for Argot or common slang I would suggest Street French I or II, both of which are written in a learner friendly manner.
