Compact and Comprehensive

I needed a small, affordable, user-friendly English/French dictionary, and this checks all my boxes. In addition to the standard vocabulary translations, there are a few helpful grammatical sections, which have been very helpful for me, as a French language learner. Well-organized and thorough. No complaints.

A Good Beginner's Dictionary

Larousse's French-Engligh English-French Dictionary has met all my translating needs in my first two years of French; however, I'm starting to see and use words and idioms not in the dictionary. If you're looking for a portable, catch-almost-all dictionary, this is it. If you're studying French for the long haul and are looking for a desk reference, try the Concise edition.
