I received this book when I heard one of the program founders speak about the program that five students along with two adults helped to found. After I read the book, I was deeply moved by the things that teenagers like me went out and did in 2002. They shattered the voter turnout record for a non-Presidential election. This time I wanted to be apart of it. This is the ultimate story of how teens aren't the pessimistic, drug and alcoholic abusing, non-caring individuals that the media portrays us to be. No way! This is us going out and showing that we do care, and most of us won't be able to vote in the upcoming election. Freedom's Answer is a non-partisan program that motivates high school students as well as college students to go out register people to vote, asks them to pledge their vote, and doesn't do it for a party or individual, but simply because they want people to exercise their right as an American since that freedom has been defended by our servicemen and women.
