A dialogue about "racial reconciliation" is taking place all over our country. Such a discussion is an excellent beginning to bind our nation together. However, we will not solve the problem without... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Great book the "progressives" (translated Socialists) hate

The subtitle is the thrust of this great, great book: The Civil Rights Act is damaging everyone in America, especially blacks and women. An articulate book on how, when, where, and WHO hijacked the proposed Civil Rights Amendment, and just how the word ?sex? came to be included in the Act.A very interesting read. I would encourage every patriotic American, not any hyphenated version thereof, to read the book and actually learn who has been betrayed and how the people of America have been used and how those who who needed the Civil Rights Amendment as IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN should be in the front lines speaking out against it.Learn how the Civil Rights Act has spawned and spurred on our economic losses, dumbing down of our schools, dumbing down of our employable pool of people, and just why it is companies are outsourcing jobs and NOT buying American. Read why it will take years to undo the damage done to people, our country, and our economy.I would recommend, highly.
You Should Read It

Although this is a fast-reading book, you should read it thoughtfully whether you are a liberal or a conservative; whether you favor or are opposed to affirmative action. It shows how a truly color-blind society is best for all, and not a society of quotas and preferences which is based on the incorrect assumption that some people are inferior.
Informative, concise and well written.

J. Edward Pawlick has written an informative, concise and well-written book which gives the reader a glimpse into the makinig of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. More importantly, he has been able to cut to the quick, in easy prose, and show how the courts and federal agencies such as the Federal Office of Contract Compliance Programs took the clear language of the Civil Rights Act, and interpreted it to mean not only the complete opposite of what the words of the Act said, but what the clear legislative history of the Act showed the Act was not intended to do. Mr. Pawlick provides a service to Americans with this book. He becomes a voice in history, much like Orwell's 1984 character, Winston Smith, attesting to the distortion of history and fact by clever bureaucrats who understand the political system, and know better than most how once a controversial law is passed, its creators almost never go back to revisit the damage done through creative interpretations. As the co-author of "From Trial Court to the United States Supreme Court", a book which examined the judicial politics of the Massachusetts court system over a case which made its way to the United States Supreme Court, I can appreciate the work Mr. Pawlick has done. He, too, has exposed how innocent sounding laws, drafted with the best of intentions, and crafted to accommmodate competing interests, can be altered by the courts to accomplish ends quite opposite of what was intended. I highly recommend this work.
Leads to a better understanding of race/gender issues.

A thought provoking work. As a progressive/liberal, I didn't agree with everything in this book, but it made me re-think many of my assumptions. Until Americans can answer the questions it raises, race/gender relations in this country will not improve.
