I recommend that anyone interested in knowing the real facts about the history of oil, what is happening in the oil industry today, and in particular the Middle East's involvement should read "Freedom from Mid-East Oil." The book is so well written it should become a mandatory text book for high schools and colleges." C. Paul Davis

Important Subject

Worth reading through. Loses some focus at the end, but overall gets the idea across about oil, national security and how we fix the problem using existing technology. The efforts required are only a dent compared to what America experinced in the Cold War Space Race. [The fact that GW (as we speak) is pleading with the Saudis to increaase production speaks volumes aboout this book's premise.] Global warming is thankfully only highlighted and not droned upon. I consider myself a socially moderate fiscal conservative - Somehow the subject of oil and national security has not become a subject of either party's debate topic list - it should be.
