Powerful

As a mother, and very active person in my daughters school, I loved this book!! In Wyoming, we see such a wonderful rainbow of children in our schools more and more everyday. We had just had an instance where a one of our kids told another one that she was different because her skin didn't match and her clothes weren't "cool". After reading Susan's books, my goal is to read "Free To Be Me" along with her first book "A Child's Happy Heart" to each student at our school, hoping raise our awareness and acceptance levels, and "stomp out the bullies" as we call it! Susan writes so that children can relate to Khobi and she associates the books to situations that nearly every child will encounter at school one time or another in their life. Just because a child comes to school and looks "different" or isn't "cool" doesn't mean that they aren't a great person. They just add another page to our book of friends throughout life. I highly recommend this book to all parents, grandparents, educators. Everyone!!! I can't wait to see where Susan leads Khobi and Hero on thier next journey!!
