Heim & Hansen Have Struck Gold Again

Judy Heim and Gloria Hansen have struck paydirt again, with this information-packed guide to surfing the Sewing-Net. True to form, the entire first chapter is dedicated to those who are not so computer-savvy, and covers some basic and not so basic computer lessons. Particularly helpful are Heim & Hansen's suggestions on downloading software from the net, including zip files and freeware to open zip files. Every aspect of sewing has been neatly organized into topical chapters including some more unusual categories: Vintage patterns, sewing hats & outerwear, lingerie, doll & teddybear makers, costumers, sewing entrepeneurs, as well as all the stitching standards we would expect: Free stuff for machine embroidery, heirloom, home decor, tailoring/pattern fitting, projects, fabric, tips & techniques, notions, and sewing machines. What a FIND! I had no idea the internet had so much to offer as far as free stuff for folks like me who like to sew; patterns (printable and by mail order) fabric samples etc! I would recommend anyone who sews to definitely get this book its is definitely worth the price!
