In search of a better life for her family and desperate to provide for her young girls, Christina (Anna Paquin) gets pulled into the dangerous high-stakes underground drug scene of the 1970s. As she quickly finds out, dealing drugs at the height of South Florida's smuggling heyday, has its price. As law enforcement hastily and aggressively closes down on Christina and her entire drug operation, she must find a way to salvage what is left of the life she has worked so hard to repair, before it all comes crashing down in front of her.
