Freckles - The Bossy Chicken

Freckles was an actual chicken I had and she inspired this book. She was very intelligent and seemed to stand out from the other chickens. I would tell my parents, kids and grandkids about Freckles and my mom suggested I should write a book about her. She had a unique way of clucking that was different from the other chickens. I wanted to tell children about Freckles because I knew they would enjoy her. I am a retired nurse who originally comes from the Chicago area. When I got married 34 years ago and moved to Missouri I learned all about country living and I thought it would be great to have my own chickens for fresh eggs. I like to paint and do crafts. My husband, Marvin and I have a large garden. I believe people need to step out and accomplish their dreams. Jesus has helped me all my life and He helped me with this book also.
