Franny's Fix-It Shop

By Ed Miller and Edward Miller

Book Overview

A young girl helps fix machines around town in this delightful introduction to engineering.

Franny can fix anything. Others might throw broken items away, but not Franny Repairing and reusing is easy when you break it down into parts: a bicycle is gears, levers, screws, a pulley, and wheels. It's all basic engineering

Readers follow along as Franny bikes around town and helps friends and neighbors fix their machines and learn how they work. A skateboard, a bicycle, even a pair of scissors, there's nothing Franny can't repair.

Clear, detailed explanations of how everyday items work are paired with Edward Miller's signature kid-friendly artwork. Back matter includes a glossary as well as examples of simple machines.
