Matilde and Agata come from different background, but still they are able to find a common destiny, sharing core moments of their lives. A simple, affectionate gesture is the starting point for a tangle of relationships which will spread through, and forever change, the makeup of a whole family.
Agata's death does not leave an empty space in Matilde's life and the lives of those who loved her, because a part of her still lives within them. Small fragments of a self which were planted here and there, ready to resurface at the right time to help her feel her loss less starkly.
After all, something is left of all of us, which will leave in other people's hearts through memories. Agata was a beautiful memory.
