Four Corners

Two sisters from Aurora, Texas, on vacation, stop at the Four Corners monument, where the states of Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico come together--the only such place in the country where they do. But something is amiss. By dawn's early light they see a man's form, lying on the monument with hands in two of the states and feet in the others. At first, they assume it's someone who has had a heart attack, and they quickly turn him over to listen for a heartbeat. But it's then that they see the bullet hole and the blood... It is also when a New Mexico state trooper parks in the monument's parking lot, sees the sisters moving what looks like a corpse up there. He arrives on the scene just in time to hear one of them say, "Oh, no! It's my husband." He knows what his duty is. He arrests them both and takes them to his jailhouse in the nearby town of Shiprock...and the troubles and complications have just begun.
