Four Boats is a compelling story of imagination and vision being fulfilled through years of dedicated labor. Building such large boats took years of toil and sweat, but freely given of men considered to be perfectionists in whatever they pursued. Each boat is a true labor of love and a reflection of that attribute. Jack, Brian and Ray sailed their boats in the resplendent waters of the Pacific Northwest, cruising lower Puget Sound upwards to Alaska. Rudi sailed his boat on the beautiful waters of Tasmania and Australia. Brian also followed his original dream and, with his companion Lin Robbins, set out on a six year voyage to exotic South Pacific islands. These blue water sailings are put forth with accompanying photographs that are as splendid and fascinating as those of their boats being built. Four Boats is 161 pages configured in 8 1/2 by 11 inch format to allow larger, more readable print. This book contains over 200 photographs which, with very few exceptions, are in vibrant color.
