Found Lost: a puzzlingly different disappearance

James and Molly had enjoyed a steady relationship over the past year and regularly went rambling over weekend getaways. This idyllic state was shattered when after hitching a lift to the start of a South Downs track, they are driven off road, James assaulted and drugged, and Molly bundled into the back of a 4x4 and whisked away. When James comes round much later, there is no trace of anything having happened and his mobile and belongings taken. The police find nothing. When Molly comes round, she is holed up in a deserted farmhouse and held captive. The families, James and the police pair of Clive and Mavis initially have nothing to go on. Meanwhile, Molly does her best to escape from her kidnapping which appears to be random and meaningless - but isn't. There is romance and humour along the way and, with changing circumstances and some diversions, the plot gradually unfolds to resolve this intriguing and puzzling thriller to a surprising conclusion.
