"Welcome to Darkmoon Island. Looks like you're gonna hate it here."
This place is a lawless free-for-all, and it's common knowledge that if you piss off the wrong people, you'll meet a bitter end. It's also pretty well-known that safety doesn't exist, and that trying to be a good person is a stupid mistake.
Zoe has lived here her whole life, so she knows exactly how to navigate the violence. Armed with an infamous reputation, a lack of remorse, and-of course-a knife, she doesn't hesitate to seek the adventure she craves.
Enter Remi, the new prey to the unapologetic streets. Now that she's returning to the island after years of being on the run with her family, she's an outcast in every aspect of her life. And it doesn't help that her parents forced her into being a killer-for-hire to help pay off their debt.
When the two accidentally cross paths and end up tangled in each other's messes, they form an unsteady alliance in hopes of making their everyday fights for survival a bit more interesting. But there's more lurking beneath the island's surface...and Zoe and Remi find themselves far deeper than they expected.
The only way to get answers is to go along for the ride. If they play their cards right, everything just might work to their benefit.
If not?
They're so dead.
FOUL PLAY is a gritty thriller packed with action, crime, drama, a touch of mystery, and sarcastic storytelling. Perfect for those who want to read about unapologetically bad people doing bad things in a dark and unhinged world of violence.Customer Reviews
