Fossil Force

By: Bradley, Graham

Twelve-year-old Patrick Keller figured small-town Utah would be hot, broke, and boring. After his dad's accident, his family lands on Grandpa's ranch outside Vina Profunda: bad Wi-Fi, a dinosaur dig down the road, and a barn nobody is supposed to snoop in.

Then Patrick finds a glossy black mask in his late uncle's loft, puts it on, and somebody talks back.

Three local boys have been waiting for him. The masks control the Sentinels: nine-foot armored guardians left behind by a lost civilization deep beneath the earth, powered by the energy locked inside dinosaur fossils.

Stegosaurus plates that slice through enemy snaresAn Ankylosaur war hammerRaptor speed that crosses ten miles of desert in about ninety seconds

But a very tall stranger has come to town hunting the Sentinels and the ancient gate they guard, and the Sentinels only answer to boys who use their power the right way. Patrick is about to find out how hard that is.

Fossil Force is Book 1 of a new middle-grade series for readers 9 to 12: a complete adventure with more to come. Action and peril without gore, no romance, occasional mild language.
