This is the second of three volumes of poetic prayers designed to lead the reader on a deeper journey into a personal relationship with the Great I AM of the Bible. I like to say that God told Moses when he asked who should I say sent me, "I Am..." and we read through the Scriptures to fill in the blank. God is love, but also many, many other characteristics as well. I have been reading, studying, teaching and writing from the Bible on a daily basis now for over 40 years. When you commit that much of yourself to any one pursuit, it becomes an integral part of who you are. I hope through these Forty Prayers to share a glimpse of what I have come to learn about our Lord, and our God Who has reached out and called us His friend.
