Fortune's Curse

By J.C. Yeamans

If you were born with a curse on your magic and swore to never pass it on, what would you do when the sexy detective came calling?

Fortune Whittle, a single woman in her forties, is a cursed witch, hiding her secret and struggling to control her magic. As if that's not enough to juggle, she's straddling two worlds-the Unremarkable reality of humans and the hidden fae realm that has invaded her city.

Having ended a physical relationship with a Tylwyth Teg fairy who is obsessed with her, Fortune isn't prepared for the sexy human detective to come to her store and ask her out. He is a transplant from England who has the most incredible smile and sense of humor, but he is unaware of the supernatural in the city. She has avoided dating Unremarkables all her life. But what if this is her last chance at love?

Meanwhile, when the portal in a local lagoon is tampered with, Fortune and her Morkie familiar question everything. While the gorgeous detective and an irresistible fae leader compete for her attention, she and the local coven race against time to uncover the cause of a mysterious series of drownings.

Fortune's Curse is Book 1 in Witches of Long Beach, by author J.C. Yeamans, an enthralling Romantic Contemporary Fantasy series with a flawed but strong heroine, found family, mystery, humor, and sizzling slow-burn romance.
