There is a growing number of elderly people who live on their own, either by choice or because of their circumstances. Regrettably, too many of them have been neglected by their children and by society. The author has regularly observed firsthand the remorse and guilt experienced by friends and relatives when their parents have passed away. This is because they realized too late that they had taken their parents for granted or had been "too busy" to care for them.
In the first part of "Forgotten Parents," he discusses the foundational principles from the Bible for honoring one's parents and what that entails. God instituted the family, and He knows best what helps us to thrive. In the second part of "Forgotten Parents," he provides practical considerations and options in honoring and caring for one's aging parents.
