I struggled to get through this book. In fact I'm still trying to finish it. It is all over the place with lots of pointless, unrelated information and conversation that does nothing to drive the plot forward.
The plot, meandering and unclear, gets completely lost in the middle when the mother in law shows up. Just how much time and words can be dedicated to just how scary/hard/mean the mother in law is? Way to many IMO.
The book starts off about a dragon statue worth a lot of money and whoever owns it being in danger but by chapter 39 it hasn't been mentioned in 100 pages. Out of nowhere, suddenly there is a potential serial killer threat. Makes zero sense and honestly, the book lost me at that point. I wish I never started reading this book.
Even if there is some great twist or reveal at the end, it won't have been worth reading the rest of the book.

I haven't read a book by this author in a long time but been interesting. A serial killer and a famous dragon covered with jewels. Both were revealed the last night of the Flower Shop in the small town of Gothic, CA. A former wrestler and seed breeder are at the heart of this. Withe plenty characters to keep the twist going. No one is who they are but maybe they are.
