Forever Young by Christoph Burmeister is a Quantum Fiction composed of twelve interlacing narratives, each one housed within the next, so that the first narrative expands the consciousness of the narrator in the second, the second a dystopian harbinger cherished by a character in the third, and so on. The narrators hear their echoes in history and change their destinies in ways great and small, in a study of humanity's dangerous will to live forever.

A pensive poet stows away aboard a ship crossing the Baltic Sea. A disinherited banker hunkers down in a cave house in Sweden. A philosopher off the wagon wanders back and forth between the bars. Others are a surreal artist with schizophrenic tendencies in Paris, and a thirsty woman finding a gigantic tuna fish lying sideways in the beach sand. Finally, a young transhumanist witnesses the marriage of mind and machine.
