Disappointing book

I was hoping this book would eventually tie together the lives of the main characters who are in Israel at the same time, soul searching & each at a different phase of their lives, but the author left both threads hanging, along with many other short story lines. Interesting flavor to Israel as one of our book club members is very familiar with the places in the book. Weird & not in a good way. I would not bother- all of us had same opinion in our club.
