Historical erotica, not romance

This novel is pure erotica. I liked it a lot up until near the end when the plotline got dark. I don't feel like it fit in with the rest of the book and sort of came out of nowhere. I thought the stuff with the hero's birth mother was ridiculous; that's why this gets four stars instead of five. If you like historical erotica, do give this book a try.

An Unusually Good Read!

I enjoyed this book. It had a few twist and turns that are usually not in an historical. I liked the conflicting emotions it showed between the characters and there were also the steamy love scenes. This may not be for everyone though. The love triangle is flawed, but each one of them give and take in order to be with the one they love. All in all, this was a page turner and I will read anything else the author may write.

A Good Read

I really enjoyed this book. I appreciated the descriptions of the sugar cane business on the island, and the unusual setting. Beware for the faint-hearted, it is VERY steamy!
