once upon a time,
one sprinkling night of december in the season of winter,
two bodies collide like a long lost delighted reunion
who would have thought that
mirroring each other's souls would ruin it?
she was fond of the way she was touched
and he had ideas of how he could take advantage of her love
all seemed so true,
with how the laughs of those two
were the instrumentals to destiny's birth
they paired well,
like the moon and stars
but sometimes the moon would hide away in the clouds
and the stars didn't see a reason to be luminescent on her own
the sky would often be dark because
the stars gave the moon too much of herself
until she had the time of day to pack her constellations
and soar through the universe
before the moon decided to rise and return for a temporary stay
but one night,
the moon was alone and cold
he had a blue glow that the stars connected a dimming heart for
by then, it was too late to ask a passing comet to take her home
the moon can have you lust after him,
but like any other villain,
there's a reason he only comes out at night.
