Just imagine if you had to choose between two pills, red and white. Well, Monica Smith, an 18-year-old-teenager, decides to choose the white one. The red pill symbolizes success and a great desire to become a journalism major; the white one is prescribed to her by her obsessed doctor, who uses his power to give her the drug Fentanyl and to sexually molest her during doctor visits. Monica becomes addicted and her life goes into a whirlwind of chaos from a relationship with a boyfriend, who is addicted to crack, to high school bullying and surrounds the control of Christian-church religious parents, who make her go to church. This story takes place back in the early '80s and deals with a lot of issues going on in today's society.
