Although there are only 28 poems, the book is divided into four sections. The first three sections are about different types of love: a mother's love; love of family and friends; passionate and compassionate love. The fourth section: seeing things in different ways contains the three final poems which reveal a somewhat unique way of looking at seemingly simple subjects.
Saying goodbye to your mother is always difficult, but is aptly portrayed in, "Our Angel" - Our God lent us an angel / To walk with us on earth / To lift us up when down we fell / You'd think each one her child from birth."
The section on passionate and compassionate love is suitable for any age group as exemplified by, "My Love" - The sunbeam glides across the bed / Alighting on your sleepy head / I roll an inch or maybe two / So that closer I can be to you."
A poetic debut that will leave you anxiously awaiting a sequel.
