Emma's debut poetry collection starts with confronting our devastating mistreatment of the natural world, including other humans, and our justifiable fear for the future. It moves through an exploration of the fascinating and diverse manifestations of existence on this planet to reach the conclusion that transformative hope can be found in action. In precise, elegant verse the reader is assured that whatever has happened in the past, ultimately nothing can be more important than protecting the life of Earth. After a decade and a half sailing the seas and campaigning for our environment on Greenpeace ships, Emma has returned to land to express her love for life through words instead. Over the past couple of years she has built up an online readership of over 2,250 followers, writing for Medium publications such as LitUp, Scribe, Resistance Poetry and The Bigger Picture. Her years of travel have given Emma a truly global perspective, but currently she is enjoying staying at home in the beautiful, coastal town of Byron Bay in Australia.
