Ricky Lamb and his family are just struggling to get by when his dad loses his job. But even though they might not have much, the Lamb family still has each other. When the Lambs win the American Dream Sweepstakes and claim their $10-million prize, it seems like they are suddenly on their way to having it all. At first, nothing much changes for Ricky. He hangs out with his best friend Dweeb and younger sister Sally. Soon, though, his parents start arguing over how to spend the money, and old friends turn into jealous new enemies.
