Despite his recent service, the village needs him to come to their aid once again. Winter will arrive shortly, and in the harsh frontier the most important commodity is simple: salt.

For a Pinch of Salt leads Boleslav to the balance between his duties to his family and his community. The harshness of an environment not only influenced by its location, but an accursed forest to the North that hides threats from man and monsters. Can he get past his doubts, and defeat the dangers of an unknown land to return to his remaining family? Failure will not end the world, but possibly the death of all those he cares for.

This novella is the first of the Peril Kingdoms Anthology that will explore a variety of different locations and time periods in this low magic world. By a historian who believes that the best fantasy stories are inspired by the past.
