She vows not to remove the curse unless he completes a task for her, and it's one that he's definitely not qualified for. They have the same mission: find what came out of the rift. Unfortunately for Aric, he's what fell out, and he's alone in an unfamiliar world full of vampires, elves, were-animals, sprites, pirates, and many other strange creatures.
