A good read! I found the writing a bit rough here and there, but accomplished elsewhere. I wanted to edit it, but also remembered the writing in "We Seven" as being similarly casual and offhand. There appears to be a great deal of technical knowledge, and someone like me can just accept all those elements and their place in the story, since I don't know anything about them. The main thing, though, is that the narrative flow is superb, I feel. The book moved me along at quite a pace and I always felt the swiftness of it and the transitions from space to ground etc. were appropriate and strong.
Tom Clancy meets Buzz Aldrin: fast paced, moon dust laden adventure

I enjoyed Footprints on a Secret Moon a great deal--much more than I had expected. I read it in just two sittings. I read about a book a week and probably ten percent or so are space related. After reading virtually all of the Apollo astronaut biographies, this thriller was a welcome breath of fresh air. I'd compare the plot, pacing, and attention to technical detail to that of an early Tom Clancy novel, except that Footprints is not as drawn out. I'm also an author (a novel called Eyeball Wars and several non-fiction books on internet marketing) so I know how much work goes into what Senechal has accomplished. I wish that Senechal had made the book about twice as long. It would have been cool with longer scenes. I found myself wanting more detail, character development, and dialog at virtually every twist and turn. Kudos to David Senechal for a job well done. Maybe there will be a further Alan Malone adventure?

A must read!! Couldn't put this one down. Great character development, felt I knew him personally. The suspense gripped me and held me till the end. For all you Neil Armstrong fans out there, you'll love this book.
Intrigue From the Earth to the Moon!

The Space Race of the 1960's inspired many young Americans with dreams traveling to the Moon and Mars. David Senechal is a prime example in his tale "Footprints on a Secret Moon",of a man Alan Malone, who was inspired by the Moon landing of July 1969 to figure out a way to fly himself from the Earth to the Moon. This lite read was an enjoyable romp from fullfilment of a dream of walking on the Moon, government intrigue, and well handled technology without being too technical. Any space buff from the golden age of space travel will enjoy this read!
