Fools Made Wise

No Drama. No Games. No Regrets. Such a life is foreign to the foolish person and her counselors, bosses, coworkers and family members. They can spend much time and energy "putting out fires" and sifting through the foolish person's dramas and confusion as they try to help her out of one crisis after another. Does that sound like someone you know? Or maybe even yourself? If well-meaning people rescue the foolish person, they will only have to rescue her again and again if the root problem is not addressed. The root problem of foolishness is the rejection of God, His wisdom through Jesus Christ and His instruction through His Word, the Bible. Fools Made Wise through the Power and Wisdom of Christ is for those who are wise, that they may be wiser still (Proverbs 9:9); for those who are experiencing the consequences of their own foolishness or the foolishness of others; and for those who work in positions of helpers, whether in a professional or a nonprofessional capacity. Unbelief in in God, His wisdom and His ways is expressed in various forms. The Bible's Old Testament uses five Hebrew words to describe expressions of foolishness. Fools Made Wise through the Power and Wisdom of Christ is a women's Bible study that challenges expressions of foolishness with God's wisdom. It explores each expression of foolishness by studying the verses where each word is used. The biblical solution is then offered. The biblical remedy for foolishness is the transformation of a "foolish one" through the all-sufficient work of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, even though He is God, voluntarily left the highest position as Creator and King of all things, to take the lowest position of all-to become a man and a Servant. He lived a perfect life that none could live and died a shameful death in the place of people to pay the penalty for their sins. Jesus Christ took the punishment for sin that all people deserve. When Jesus died on the cross, God poured out His entire wrath against sin upon Him. God proved that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for sin by raising Him from the dead. To those who believe in Jesus Christ alone, God gives the gift of living with Him eternally. Foolish people do not have to stay foolish! Fools are made wise and expressions of foolishness are overcome by Jesus Christ, who is the power and wisdom of God. No more drama, regrets or games! Foolish drama is replaced by peace with God through Jesus Christ leading to full and meaningful life now and for eternity. Regrets and shame are overcome by the forgiveness of our sins by God through Jesus Christ. Games and schemes give way to trust in and obedience to Christ. God's Word, the Holy Scriptures, "are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 3:15). Our powerful, loving God is transforming Disrespectfuls into Christ-adorers, Mockers into Christ-celebrants, the Senseless into Christ-embracers, Despisers into Christ-treasurers and the Uncommitted into the Christ-devoted, to worship at the feet of Jesus Christ forever..
