This study examines how users present themselves through photos of food on the social media platform Instagram. The research questions focused on the motivations behind posting such photos and the extent to which users express themselves through them. Instagram represents "The Beautiful World," which serves both as a source of inspiration and as a platform for self-expression. To investigate the research questions, interviews were conducted with young women who post photos of their food. The transcripts were subsequently analyzed using the grounded theory method. In the course of the theoretical analysis, in addition to theories on symbolic interactionism, identity, and self-presentation, food was also examined as a social factor.
